Aussie Rules

Did you know what we do ever Wednesday for this team. We have been playing Aussie rules have been learning the skills required to play Aussie rules.

They play on an oval field with 4 goals. Do you know that when they play they have a small ball that looks the same as a rugby ball but it is small. What posters to they can kick the ball over

When we go to Aussie rules they teach us one lesson at a time. I like the lesson when they teach me how to do the drop punt. I drop punted it to Frankie. But when it didn’t go to Frankie I wasn’t expecting that.

The best thing that I like playing at Aussie rules Is when she is teaching us new games that we do not know. But some games, some people already know how to play.

Cross Country

Did you know on Wednesday we had cross country? It was long, hard and uneven. We went for a walk, so that we would know the track when we run the real cross country.

We had an early lunch so we would be on time. The race started down at the Pt England reserve. The 11 years old ran first. We never ran at the same time because we all might trip up and might get hurt. Then the 10 years old ran and the 9 years old ran last.

There were some intermediate students that held up signs and told us where to go. When I was running I heard some of them saying “go Lorenzo, go Lorenzo”. I was running and It smelt. Some people thought it was dangerous but I never thought it wasn't dangerous for me.

I made it to the bridge and gave up. I was walking all the way because I gave up. I saw bushes trees and big logs.

When I saw Mr Mark he was saying “go Lorenzo go Lorenzo, you can do it”, but I just kept on walking and he was still saying “go Lorenzo go Lorenzo”. I picked up a stick and walk all the way.

When I got to the end I felt happy because the race was over for me. I wasn't still fit though.

Badminton

Every Thursday we go to badminton with Ms M after morning tea. Donna was teaching us how to hit the shuttle and serve the shuttle. Donna showed us some cool games like soccer and mini badminton. First we played the soccer game. You have to bat the shuttle to the other person and if he miss and it goes through the two cones that was on the side you get a point.

Next we played the game mini badminton. There was two mini badminton games. One was for the girls and the other one was for the boys. It was two on two. Me and Antonio was team mates, we versed the other team. They served the ball how Donna showed them to serve the ball. When I was about to hit the shuttle I aimed where I was going to hit the shuttle but they won. The next time we versed them me and Antonio won.

Yesterday we played 5 big badminton games. There was three mini badminton games and one big one. On the three small ones you had to do back hand and the second you have to do fore hand and on the third one you have to do side hand and on the big badminton court you could hit it which ever way you wanted to. This time it was me and Howard, we played on the big badminton court first. We swapped to the next one then we just did the same thing.
