On Christmas eve Santa went around the world going down chimneys.
Giving gifts to the good boys and girls. but there was a problem Santa couldn't fit down the chimney. So he had a back up plan smash the window.

Robbery at the shops

In the morning Miss Floval ask John politely can you please  go to the Pt England shops to buy a bread and milk for the breakfast club I replied yes. Then she gave John a ten dollar note expecting me to come back with a five dollar note. On his way to the shops something was wrong the alarm went off very loudly that made me run so quickly to the shops to see what was happening.


When John got at the shops there was an robbery 2 men dressed in black. With and black mask they  was holding guns Frightening  the shopkeeper John knew he had to do something. So he got out his cell phone and called 111  told the cops  there is an robbery at the Pt England shops. The Strangers  quickly hopped in the car with  bags filled with money and got away.

When The cops arrived at the Pt England shops John told the cops what he had seen. John said the robbers was frightening the shopkeeper holding a gun to her head and wile the other robber was filling up the bag with money. 2 days later the cops has found the robbers that was robbing the Pt England shops and got 8 years in jail.


After the robbers went to jail John felt proud of his self for helping the cops the cops would have not found the robbers if John did not help them. Then John ran back to school and told Miss Floval that there was an robbery and she did not believe me she said no you're lieing but at the end of the day there was an robbery.

Mini Olympic

On Thursday we had a mini Olympic day there was 16 countries and 7 events and I was in Spain. It was the most exciting  day and as you know our topic this term is go for gold. When I saw the 7 events I wanted to just run to an event but we had to watch out for the little kids.

The first event that spain went to was the ultimate frisbee. we won the game but we all had fun next we went to touch we was versing Sweden we have won that game too after touch we went to rounders with Miss Garden. if you do not know how to play rounders it is sort of like softball but you are kicking. After that we had morning tea once we finished the day we all went back to class. My favourite event was  sitting volleyball.

At the end It was an funday. People likes to win but it does not matter if you lose it matter if you  joined in the game and go for gold and have fun.

Jake At The Beach

When Jake  was walking down to the Pt England beach with his little brother he decided to have and swim. Mr Burt said never to go to the beach by yourself but if you have an adult watching you then it is ok. But Jake said I know how to swim  I had swimming lesson so I don’t need an adult.


Jake dived into the water and James the little brother was following and he said go over to shallows this is too deep for you so James went where Jake told him to go. But all of a sudden he forgot about James when he looked back he was gone. So he rushed out of the water trying to look for him. There he goes drowning in the water and he knew he had to do something.



So Jake knew he could not do this on his own so he ran to get help. He yelled help help to the people that was having a picnic they ran over and said what happen my little brother is in trouble can you help me save him? They replied yes where is he so the random man jumped into the water going to save him. He swam to James and put him on his back and swam back to the bank. They took James to the hospital  and when he woke up he said where am I Jake said you are at the hospital I will call mum to come down.


Jake said that was the last time  that he was going down to the beach on his own. He said I should of listen to Mr Burt.

Farewell Mrs Verry

In today's assembly Mrs Verry  has been  here for year's and  has been Mr Burt's friend. But at this point Mrs Verry is retiring from Pt England school, She is having a operation on her leg. She was kind and helpful to other people  and she was always smiling. 

Making A Box

Step 1: Get a paper and fold the paper from the bottom to top and then unfold it. Then you get the sides of the paper and fold it to the other side once you did that you unfold it.

Step 2: Next you grab the long edges and fold them to the middle then unfold them again.

Step 3:  Fold both  short edges of the sides and fold it to the middle and leave it there.

Step 4: Fold all the corners to the nearest crease and leave them there

Step 5:  Fold back the edges to it can cover the corners. 

Step 6: Now you put a finger in the middle and pull it gently outwards. 

Step 7: Pinch the corner and smooth it along the sides to make them stand upright 

Step 8: Once you did that you can decorate it like I did. 

Rugby Tournament

On Friday we went to the Pt England Reserve for our rugby tournament. Miss Vavusuanga  took 4 teams down to Pt England Reserve ripper rugby girls, 2 under 50 kg team, and 1 over 50kg team and I was in the overs 50kg team.


Our 1st game was against Sylvia park and they was kicking off to us. When they kicked off someone  in our team court the ball and took the first hit up. Sylvia park was in the lead they was winning by 3 tries and we had 0   then it was halftime. This time it was our kick I was the kicker for our team I kicked it and it went dead so we had a scrum and it was there ball. When it came out of the scrum our team members  tackled him and we got the ball back and I got the last trie for the rugby game then we said our cheers.


After two  rugby game we went and had lunch we had to try and not eat heaps because our game was after the unders game. When we finish eating we went to support the unders they have not lost a game so far. Then it was our turn it was our 3rd game  against  St Pires.



What I think about friday is  that we had lost all our games but at least we got out of our class and had a really really fun day.

Jake The Swimmer

Jake was practising swimming for the heat  that was coming up and he had to get lots of training.  When he dived into the pool he had an problem the wall seem to be moving away from him. He keep swimming but it is still happening. Then when he made into the middle and he felt like he was drowning so Mr Newman had to saved him. He said lucky you saved me I  wouldn't  be competing in the semi finals that was coming up. The day was the day for the semi finals When he dived into the pool it was happening again he did what Emma said  Josh said Ben Pur and  Mrs Gerd and he put it altogether and became a winner.

Stress Busters

What I did in the weekend

 In the weekend I went to my rugby league game at Liston park against Hibiscus Coast. When we arrived at the field we warm up for our game and when the other team came the game was about to start. They were kicking off to us and I caught the ball and I took the first run up. Then I got tackled and I played the  ball. Then my team mates pass it to the wing and Aaron in my team got an runaway try because we worked as a team. Then my other team member got the conversion over and we was in the lead.

Then it was halftime and we was winning them halftime is over and we swooped sides and this time it  was our turn to kick off to the other team. And then they ran it up and we tackled them and they was nearly to the try line and they gotta try then they missed the conversion and it was 32 to 4. Then we came down to a win.

At the end of the game my team had snake from my teammate mum. Then I got change and ate my snack and then we went with my aunt to my cousin game at manarewer.

Jake The Swimmer

In the story jake dived into the pool and something was wrong.  The wall was moving away from him. after that he fate like he was droending. halfway so the coach had to save him and when he got out of the pool he was embrras. Then Jake thank him pilliot and lucky Mr Newman saved his life because he wouldn’t  challenge in the butterfly heat race.

Bees

Bees only attack when people attack them. When they get alarmed the bees use their stinger. to attack the people back to they could get them back.


The sting of bees haves a really fine sharp barbed tube at the end of there stinger. If they sting you they could put a little bit a poison in your body.


The bees sometime can only stings once.Because it sting you and the humans knokes it off you and the sting is terring the bees sting off so it dies. But if you just leave it to fly it self it would not die.


Bees can sting  lots of time if we do not wack it off and just let it fly away it self.

My Van Gogh Replica

For the last 2 weeks I have attempted   to make my art work the same as Vincent Van Gogh. I tried to use his techniques  that he use to make it the same. It is called Skull it was painted by Vincent Van Gogh in (1887).


What I think is similar Is the colour on the background. I think it is similar because on my painting I use dark colours on the bottom and I use light colours on the top just how Vincent Van Gogh did.


What is different about my painting to Van Gogh’s painting is the shape of the eye. It is different because on the original painting of Van Gogh’s he used a shape of a circle. But on my painting  I used a shape of a an oval that what it is different about it.

 

There is an another thing that is different about my painting to Van Gogh’s. The original painting of Van Gogh’s Has a thin crack on the skulls head. But on my painting I have a thick and bold crack on the skulls head.



What I think is the message and mood is death and sadness. It is really realistic because of the contrast and the texture that He done and that's the mood and the message for this painting.

They could also lay more baby then a human can.  


Also they where  out when the dinosaurs was out.


They can live without food for a mouth.

My Starry Starry Night

Starry Starry Night

Starry Starry night painting is one of his famous painting before he died. He painted Starry Starry night in 1889 his name was Vincent Van Gogh.




The main colour in Starry Starry Night painting  is blue, but yellow makes some objects  stand out. On top of his painting Van Gogh used bright colours and on the bottom of his painting he used dark colours, apart from the light in the village windows.


In the foreground is the curving cypress tree and a small dark peaceful village.  The steeple is pointey like the  crunch. The cypress tree is the main thing that is in the Starry Starry night painting. That’s why it is in the foreground



What I think about Vincent Van Gogh painting. I think that he is very very cool and interesting. Because he uses lots of paint and I like using lots of paint on my art.

In the holidays I went to the kiwis game with my auntie brother and my tow cousin. I just couldn’t wait because I was excited to watch the game for real life because I never watch a rugby league


When we arrived at Eden park it was packed with lots of people. So we had to stay together so no one don’t get lost.Once we checked that everyone was here we went to find where we sit
I just wanted to run to our set but I couldn’t because it is dangerous.

The game was starting in five minutes so we sat down and waited for the game to start. When it was kick off I was cheering  for the Kiwis but the Kiwis never got the first  try the team that was vs the Kiwis got the first try.



After the Kiwis kick the ball their whole team chased. The other team lost the ball and they had a chance to get a try. So they did get a try.


Once it was half time we went for a toilet break. The second half was about to start. we went to our set where we sat down in our same place.


So I was cheering again for the Kiwis but they had no luck. There was 10 more minutes to the game finishes at the end the Kiwis lost never mind next time the Kiwis would win.

Van Gogh

Do you know some things about Vincent Van Gogh?

Well I know little bit of him because I been learning about Vincent Van Gogh for the last two weeks at school.


Vincent Van Gogh is a really really famous  guy for his artwork. Because he sold one painting of his for 4 million dollars that why he is famous.


Vincent Van Gogh had a sad life. Did you know he chopped his ear off to give it to his girlfriend. But his girlfriend did not like it. Would you chopped your ear off and give it to your girlfriend.


What I think about of Vincent Van Goghs life  it is very very sad. Because chopped his ear.
